I grew up in San Saba in a loving family that I continue to hold dear to my heart. I graduated from San Saba High School and attended The University of Texas at Austin. I obtained both a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master in Professional Accounting degree from the University of Texas at Austin College of Business Administration.

In May 1996, I married my wonderful wife, Monica Millican, who is also from San Saba.  She has a Master's Degree in Education Administration from The University of North Texas and a Bachelor's Degree in Education from The University of Texas at Austin.  She began her teaching career in the fourth grade at Carlisle Elementary in the Plano Independent School District. 

We returned to San Saba in 2001 and now have a wonderful seven year old son, Risien, five year old daughter, Madison, and two year old daughter, Gracen.

Upon moving back to San Saba, I opened my own CPA accounting practice. I am actively involved with my local church, including participation in the worship team and celebration choir. Involvement in my community is important to me through groups such as Rotary International, my local church, and the Chamber of Commerce.

My personal honors and activities include:

• Graduating from the University of Texas in Austin with a Master in Professional Accounting degree
• Being involved in my local church and choir
• Spending time each day with my son and daughters
• Remodeling home built in 1912 in San Saba, TX
• Obtaining my CPA certification
• Leisurely carpentry and woodworking crafts
• Member of Rotary International
• 2008 Rotarian of the Year
